Designer Molecules and Devices for Hydrogen Utilization
Hydrogen has the potential to be a universal fuel energy storage chemial. It can be derived from water (H2O), and when combusted (burned) the only byproduct is also H2O. As such, new molecules and new devices must be developed to efficiently utilize and generate hydrogen with affordable elements. Our research focuses on such systems, and this seminar will give a highlight of how we go about choosing a synthetic target, and building molecules atom-by-atom to suit our needs.
